Founded by pastor David C. Davenport, this congregation held services in the Wind Gap Fire-Hall.

Founded by Scott J. Davis, this congregation held services on the 2nd floor of the PNC Bank Building on Center Square in Nazareth. Services were held here until 2005

In December of 1996 Slate Belt Church completes their new worship center, located at our present location.

Founding pastor of Slate Belt Church

On May 2nd Slate Belt Church called Wesley J. McGuire as their new pastor. Pastor McGuire served faithfully until March 20, 2005.

In October of 2004 Pastor Scott Davis begins preaching to both Slate Belt Church & Nazareth Baptist Church.  From October until May the two congregations got to know one another through several combined services, shared meals, and times of fellowship.

In March 2005 both congregations vote to unify under the leadership of pastor Scott Davis. After much prayer, officers meetings, and congregational meetings the two churches became one.

On March 14, 2010 the unified congregation broke ground on a new 22,000 sq. ft. addition.

The new addition provided the much needed space for our ministry to grow.

Slate Belt Nazareth Baptist Church celebrates 10 years of unified ministry together.

In December of 2018 Pastor Steve Rebert was called to lead Slate Belt church and remains our pastor today.
